Bon Om Tuk
Bon Om Tuk (បុណ្យអុំទូក), the Water Festival, in Siem Reap, 14 and 15 November 2024. The festival is held at the full moon of Kadeuk, at the end of the rainy season, when the Tonle Sap river reverses its flow and the great lake begins to drain back into the Mekong. Crews from villages across the province race long boats on the Siem Reap River, while musicians, drummers and giant figures entertain the crowds on the banks. After dark come the illuminated floats, the concerts and the fireworks. In 2026 the official holiday runs from 23 to 25 November.
