Field notes

One of the five temples of the Preah Pithu group in Angkor Thom, just east of Prasat Daun Mea. Early archaeologists lettered the group T to Y; Kandork Yeak is temple Y. The APSARA sign at its east entrance dates it to the early 12th century.

A pediment above one of its doorways shows Krishna, and reliefs survive under the lichen.

Its foundation deposit stone lies open, a stick of incense left in one of the holes. It is in the Foundation Stones collection.
